Recent Projects

December 2004
Alltech has recently completed works on the new Norwood Foodland Supermarket. Alltech were commissioned to supply and install all refrigeration equipment for this project. Bonnet Neve display cases were chosen by the owners.

A key consideration on this project was to reduce running costs as much as possible. Alltech chose screw type compressors with variable speed drives for this project. The variable speed drives minimises the start/stop action of the compressors and additionally, at lower loads, the compressors run at a lower speed and thus a lower current draw resulting in reduced power consumption. State of the art Ziehl fan motors were also utilised with the condensers with in-built speed control which once again delivers reduced power consumption. This is the 1st independent supermarket in Australia to utilise this set up. We certainly recommend you visiting to check it out!

Please see the Our Work section for further details and images.

February 2004
Alltech were also the refrigeration contractors for the massive Foodland Munno Para upgrade. This project was a huge expansion on the existing supermarket. New cool rooms, freezer rooms, preparation areas were supplied and installed along with the full replacement of supermarket cases. The expansion nearly doubled the size of the existing supermarket. A key issue that Alltech had to contend with was to keep all refrigeration equipment running as the supermarket never closed down over this upgrade period. A high level of project management was required in order to get the job done quickly with little inconvenience to the store operators and more importantly the customers.
